Concept of the Logo

I was a finalist for the logo of SciVite. The logo is based off of the five main keywords that inspired the moodboard for this project.

Welcoming | Sustainable | Dynamic | Vibrant | Innovative

The five hands each represent the five words that encapsulate the Life Science Building. The hands joining together represents the welcoming nature of the Life Science Building and the collaboration and movements within science that are made each day on campus. The hands are holding together a leaf, which represents the gathering of life and the importance of sustainability.

Archival Timeline

For the archival timeline website, we selected from an archive of documents and drone photos showing the process of the construction of the Life Sciences Building in WSU Vancouver. We curated them and organized them in a way that would best tell the story of how the building came to be.

Role

I collaborated with members of the Web/UI/UX Team to create the design of the archival timeline and made a Desktop and Mobile Prototype in Figma.

Design

The design of the website was based on reoccuring leaf motifs that were present in the icons and logo for SciVite. In the design for the mobile and desktop prototype we followed the official WSU brand guidelines.

Since the Life Science Building is vibrant and dynamic, we included vibrant images of the building and added movement with the line motifs in the background.
